1.   To develop a policy framework that empowers MIDCom to effectively execute its authority over project implementation by agencies under its supervision.

2.   To formulate a mechanism to efficiently and effectively manage the State's infrastructure development's allocation to ensure the smooth implementation of projects, specific to MIDCom.

MINISTER VISIT TO BIAWAK, LUNDU, SARAWAK.

The Honourable Dato Sri Michael Manyin Jawong, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Communication Sarawak accompanied by Engr. Safri b. Haji Zainudin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Communications Sarawak (MIDCom) had an official visit to Biawak, Lundu, Sarawak on 10 August 2010.

After the project briefing at Lundu District Office, he inspected the ongoing upgrading work of Biawak Road and also the newly completed CIQ project.

SOSEK-MALINDO - SOSEK MALINDO (Social Economy Malaysia–Indonesia) working committee Sarawak level was formed on 13^th February, 1985. The formation is to create a friendly environment, a platform and a two way forum between Sarawak, Malaysia and West Kalimantan, Republic of Indonesia to formulate, plan and coordinate the social-economic programme that will bring prosperity and well beings of the community staying at the border and strengthening issues related to border security.
